May has come...and Gone!!!

At Rancho each year, the school puts on it's own Derby Day!
Evan won the boys' 3rd grade race this year...with some pointers from Daddy
to stay on the inside of the track!  ;)

Evan with his teacher this year, Mrs. "C"

At Summit each year, the school puts on an auction/dinner fundraiser.
We bid on and won a Treasure Hunt Hike with the Kinder Asst Teacher's!
This was before the hike.  They even saw a snake hole!

Each child in Kinder got a week to be the V.I.P.
During Ryan's week, he got to show off his special talent.
He chose to show his friends how he practices baseball!

After offense, he moved on to defense!

Another day, he got to bring in some items that are special to him
and sit in the rocking chair!
His smile tells it all!  Happiness!!!

For Teacher Appreciation Week, Evan and I decorated Mrs "C's" door.
She loves Duck Dynasty, her pugs, and her kiddos,
so we incorporated them all!  =)

Evan is very into Spongebob right now, so after we left school,
he used some birthday money at Build a Build Bear to make his own Spongebob!

For the last concert at Rancho, the music teacher decided to just have
the 1st - 3rd grade kids sing, rather than play their violins.
Here is a clip of 3rd grade's song "Put on a Happy Face".

He also gave each child a rose.
It was a bittersweet day!

On Mother's Day, we went to church,
met Grandma and Grandpa for lunch, then came home and swam.

The boys made me feel very special!

At Summit, Ryan's Kindergarten Promotion was a success!

The kids summarized their year with singing...

And solo speeches!
(Which Ryan memorized without needing to! ;)

When we got back to the classroom,
he got to read us his book he wrote in class...

We took an "almost" family picture...

And a pic with his Teacher, Mrs Klein and Asst Teacher, Mrs Dahl!

Ryan was finally tall enough to go to K1 Speedway...

So we took the boys go cart racing!!!

They LOVED it!

For the State Fair at Rancho...

Evan chose the state of ALASKA!
He even brought reindeer sausage and salami from Alaska to share!

Some of the Rancho Mom's decided to have a girls' night!

We painted our own version of "Starry Night over Phoenix"!
We ended up being more artistic than we thought...with direction!

Our old babysitter, Miss Amanda came to visit from Chicago!

She is a Mommy now to little Ella!
The boys were all over her!

For Evan's last project of the school year,
he built Lego's and wrote a book about the rainforest.

Summit's last day was Pool Party Day!

Here's Ryan with some of the bigger kids at school!

Ryan was able to enjoy water day at Rancho too!
Here he is with some of his old classmates!

Go Ryan, Go!

Evan's turn!

Evan with some of his classmates!

Ryan had some great hits in the last regular season game!

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan!!!

Our Stars won their 2nd League Championship!!!

Moving on to Football!
Touchdown Ryan!!!

Victor and Sujey came to visit!

What a way to finish up the month of May!!!
