Goodbye Spring, Hello Summer!!!

At the beginning of May, we played in the USSSA Best of the West Tourney!
Ryan had a nice single and 2 RBI's against a pretty good Scottsdale Dirtbags pitcher!

In the next game, playing the Venom BBA, Ryan got a single!

Then against the Cave Creek Coyotes, he had a nice single to right...

And made a great play at 3rd,
held the runner at 2nd, and threw out the runner 1st!
We lost in the Semi Finals to the Dirtbags, but the boys gave it their all!
Way to make a statement, playing up in 11U Stars!

For Mother's Day Weekend, my gift from Freddy and the boys was a trip to Chicago!
Here is a a short video of the trip and the surprise videos of my sis and her kiddos!

At the end of the school year, Ryan made this digital book review!
It was all on his own in technology class!
Love his little raspy voice!

And then...it was SUMMER!!!!
What a way to start it out right!

For Memorial Day Weekend, we took a trip to Flagstaff!

The trip started with a baseball tournament, so we honored fallen officers
and those who selflessly give to serve our country!

And ended with our 10U Stars winning the Championship
playing up in 11U!

Ryan and his team played their hearts out!
Below are Ryan's Highlight Videos...

Game #1 - Single & an RBI!

Another Single!

In Game #3 he got another single!

In the Semi-Final Game a TRIPLE  & an RBI!

Then, while catching in the Championship Game,
Ryan threw out a runner at 3rd...

Got a single and an RBI...

And threw out a runner at 2nd!
It was a lot of fun to watch!

After the big win, we stayed an extra day for some added fun!
Evan stayed at Grandma and Grandpa's house back in Chandler,
so we had Ryan to ourselves and they had Evan to themselves!

A water volleyball game broke out.
The boys were unsuccessful at beating the girls, but they got a few points!
In a few years they are going to want to partner up!
Not looking forward to that! Lol!

Ryan loves sushi...and so do Freddy and I, so we ate at Karma on our last night in Flag.

It was DELICIOUS!

Ryan even earned himself a dessert the size of his head!  Our little foodie!

We hope our blog finds you all enjoying some down time,
some fun, and some much needed family time this summer!

Our Month of Celebrations, Sports and Travel!

Spring in the air...

Means time to decorate eggs!

 Fun stuff!

Success!

Bring it Easter Bunny!

Wow!!!!  Yes he did!

Happy Easter from our little bunnies!

My Love and I...

Speaking of Love...Ha ha!

We had our annual Easter Egg Hunt!

It was such a great day to celebrate the Resurrection!

Ryan's Field Trip in April was to the Capitol.  Imagine this guy voting on bills!

In our Spring Classic 1 Tourney, Game #1 - Ryan pitched the first game...strikeout!

Another game he got a single...

And an intentional walk!

In the Championship Game...another single!

Stars Win!!!!  Amazing boys!  So proud of you all!

Evan's friend from school had his Bar Mitzvah at Scottsdale Stadium, so they invited Freddy to play whiffle ball with the kids in the outfield.  They asked us to dress in our favorite jersey...so SHOCKER!

Evan grew out of his jersey a LONG time ago!  Awe!  Where does the time go!?

Evan joined the school golf team...

And was invited to play in his 1st match!  Cheering in golf is quite different than baseball!  Lol!

On the 19th, Evan officially became a teenager!

He wanted In N Out for his special lunch...

And Bundtinis to treat his classmates!

After school...

We took Evan for his favorite meal...

And ended the day with his favorite cake!  It was a great day to be Evan!

In lieu of a party this year, Evan chose to go to Vegas!

So...off we flew!

We checked into the Aria...

Then went to the Blue Man Group Show!

After the show we went into the gift shop and POOF!  The boys were fingerprinted!

The next day we took a walk on the strip.

We went to New York New York so the boys could ride the roller coaster and play games in the arcade.

They had a great time and were both big winners!

That evening we went to see Penn & Teller.  The boys got called up on stage!

After the show, the boys got a selfie with Teller...

And then Penn!

Before we headed back to AZ, the boys rode the zip line at the top of the Rio.

It was 53 stories up!

This sums up our trip well!  L O V E!

Here is a clip of Ryan pitching in game #1 of our Spring Fling Tournament...
Strikeout!

Here is a clip of him at the plate...double!

Then in game #2, Ryan had the winning Sac Fly!
We didn't win the Championship in this tournament, but the boys did awesome once again, playing up in 11U!

April was definitely the month of Evan!
His Peter Piper Pizza Commercial started airing!

Check out Ryan's Stars socks!

To round out the month of April, we took photos for the new Stars banner!

Ryan is turning into quite the little catcher...plus he looks super cute in the gear!
We hope you enjoyed our April recap!  On to May...
