Independence & Vacation!

Ryan was so excited because on July 1st he finally got to see Minions Rise of the Gru!

He even dressed up! LOL!

Maddie helped me with our flags for the 4th.

I thought she looked adorable in this suit!

Here is a pic from the last tourney of the season!
Great Work Boys!

On the 4th, Ryan and I went to get some fireworks...

We enjoyed some treats...

Pinwheels...

& Cuteness Overload!!!

Happy 4th...of July!

Drue came over just in time for...

Water balloons!

Balloon Toss!

Enough!

Sparkler Time!

Mr USA!

My sweet girl and I enjoyed the 4th with our family!
We hope you all did as well!

Sword Fun!

On the 5th, Evan showed his Minion spirit like his Brother!

Then, on the 6th we took the boat out!

Swingin' the Day Away!

On the 14th we drove to California for Maddie's 1st Vacation!

The Hampton Carlsbad was her 1st hotel stay so we could visit...

Legoland!

On the 16th we met Vic for lunch at Phil's BBQ!

Then we had ice cream cones!

That night I went back to the hotel with Drue & Evan,
while Ryan went to the Padres game with Freddy & Vic!

How to Eat a Slim Jim!

On the 17th we checked out of the Hampton & ate at Javier's in Newport Beach
on our way to Laguna...

Take My Clothes Off!

Hooray for Surf & Sand Resort!

Beautiful View & Sunset!!!

Ryan Made a Friend!

It was awesome because we were able to watch the kids from our balconies!

On the 18th, the kids watched Maddie so Freddy and I
could go to Splashes to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary!

The following day we took the city trolley to the Sawdust Festival!

Our Little Beach Babe!

Maddie enjoyed the sand while we waited for the trolley back to the hotel.

Then the kids headed back out to the water...

Fun in the Sun!

My handsome boys with genuine happiness on their faces!

Sand Fun!

Now...add our little ray of sunshine!

Bubba's SOOO Much Fun!

Each at the resort, there was a special event.
This night was Smores' night!

The next morning we tried out breakfast at the restaurant...
Ryan got a green smoothie!

Then the ocean!

Daddy got in on the Boogy Boarding!

We girls enjoyed the sand and scenery.

Then during nap, Freddy took the big kids jet skiing!

After nap we got ready for dinner...

Then enjoyed our last beautiful sunset in Laguna.

The next day we said "Sea Ya Later" to Surf and Sand...

And checked into the Disneyland Hotel!

We admired the grounds and...

The ears!

We Found Minnie!

Then we went up to the room!

We had a great view of the pools...

And a quick walk to Downtown Disney.

Before bed we were able to turn on the tv's in our suite and tune into the magical music of the Fireworks Show while we watched it from our room!

The Fireworks Show!

The next day was the BIG DAY!

Disneyland!

We even got a family pic before heading in!

We splurged and got the VIP Tour...

The meant little to no waiting...

With the help of Dillon our Guide!

That meant max fun & food!

The Caboose joined us for the day!

It's a Small World!

Ironically I took a picture of this rainbow in Neverland while I sat next to my rainbow baby!
October 14th, 15th & 16th Evan will be playing Peter Pan in Peter and the Starcatcher at school!
We can't wait to see him in his next big role!

Another fun fact...
Evan was cast Freshman year as Michael Banks in Mary Poppins.
He was able to ride the Carousel Horse dedicated to Julie Andrews when we were at Disneyland!

For weeks following this trip,
Maddie would wake up from nap asking to ride the Dumbo ride and Horsies!

Pinocchio!

She wasn't too sure what to think of Pooh...

But Evan knew he loved the new Star Wars ride...

And Ryan was thrilled to finally get to California Adventure before dark...

He was especially excited to get a Mater selfie!

Since Maddie wasn't able to go on the Cars ride,
Daddy got her another another sweet treat!

Hanging out in Radiator Springs!

Radiator Springs was by far my favorite of the day!
Being there at dusk was even more special!

Finale!

Before we left for the evening,
we were able to sit in the VIP section for the BEST
firework show viewing!
It was pretty amazing as you can see by the kids reactions!

I think Maddie loved her first trip to see Mickey, Minnie and Friends!

We hit up the gift shop before we checked out of the hotel...

And since Ryan didn't get to ride the Incredicoaster due to it it shutting down,
Freddy got him a ticket the next morning & Dillon got him a Lightening Pass!
Once all of the boxes were checked in CA, we headed back to AZ!

Giggles are the BEST!

Ok...that wraps up our very FUN and busy July!
We hope you all were able to enjoy as much family time and summer fun as we were!
