A Spooktacular October for our Family!

It's October!

I love decorating our house for different holidays throughout the year!

The Ghostbusters visited us again!

And a witch left her broomstick and hat behind!

Our lighting had a creepy effect...

And at night it got even spookier!

We started off the month of October with a
USSSA Fall Classic Baseball Tournament.
Out at 2nd! Hooray!

Ryan pitched the entire game and threw a no hitter!
Had he not hit a kid in the last inning, it would have been a perfect game!

We won the B bracket!
We played 10U since there was not a 9U Division!

For Fall Break we decided to go to California!

Knott's Berry Farm was a lot of fun!

This ride was CRAZY!

Phew!  We survived...

So we treated ourselves to a Boysenberry Funnel Cake!

The boys rode the swinging ship alone...

While Freddy and I took a break and watched.

They rode "Silver Bullet" about a half dozen times!
We had such a fun day together!

We also went to Universal Studios with Vic and Sujey!

Scooby greeted us near the entrance.

This mummy did as well!

We "ding dong ditched" a Minions house!

They were nice about it!

Ryan and Beetlejuice compared tongue lengths...

and Evan got his picture with his favorite Director's Autograph!

The boys each hung out with some Simpson's Characters...

Tada!

And watched the Jabbawockeez Dancers Perform...

Which inspired Ryan to dance for us!

Then...it was time for Horror Nights!

There were lots of scary mazes to walk through!

Then we went on the Spooky Tram ride...

The boys loved it!
It was a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit!

We had to stop by Corner Cottage while we were in Burbank...

And Don Cucos too...

Lastly, Bob's was another must...and 10 lbs later we were ready to head home!

But before we flew home, Ryan went to the USC Game with Daddy...

And Evan and I went to lunch with Tiffani, William & Summer!

It is always nice to have visitors!
Especially long time friends like Tiffany and her daughter, Natalie!

We took them to Vertuccio Farms for some Fall Fun!

It was warm out that day, but we made the best of it!

We also had fun with Natalie at home...
she got a kick out of this dancing mummy!

We played in our 1st 9U Tournament of the Season.
It was called Halloween Scream.
In Game #1 vs the Chandler Blaze,
Ryan pitched well for 2 innings!
Strikeout!  Woohoo!

This video was a few seconds too long, so I had to insert a link instead of the video.
It was a really nice 2 RBI Double to Left Center for Ryguy!
We won this one 19 - 1!

In Game #2, versus the AZ Venom,
Ryan had a hard hit Single to Center!

This ball was hard hit to right,
but Ryan made a nice throw home to keep the runners from advancing!
We won this one 15 - 5!

Game #3 was versus the AZ Toros for the Championship!
Ryan caught this little lineout!
He requested I say a special one liner when he did something well...
"Atta Way"!  He did, so I did!  Ha ha!

Ryan Tripled his last time up!
We won this one 18 - 5!

Champs!
Another ring added to the collection!
Great job Stars!

We had a guest author attend the boys school!

We got a book autographed for the boys!

We were Boo'd on Game Day! Fight On Trojans!

For something different, I decided to get an "oil slick" treatment done to my hair!

There are 5 colors...
Red, Purple, Yellow, Green & Pink!

Now that Evan is in 6th Grade,
he gets to attend the Middle School Dance!

His friend, Quinn told him he was going as Doc Brown,
so Evan surprised him and went as Marty McFly!

He had a great time!
I can't believe how fast time is going!
From 1985 to 2016, all in one night!  Great Scott!

The weekend before Halloween was filled with lots of Fall fun!
We visited Schnepf Farms during their Pumpkin Festival.

Our favorite thing there is probably the Spooky Train Ride!

Then we gathered our annual "Boo!" Gifts...

And set out to deliver them!

The day before Halloween, we had Ryan's team over for a Pumpkin Carving Party!

We played Bingo...

And afterwards...

Started Carving!

Evan made Donald "Trumpkin"!

Then everyone went for a swim!

One of the Dad's created an awesome "Stars" Pumpkin, so we got all of the boys together for a picture (minus Amare who had taken off for the night already)!  It was a great time!

Since Middle School Students had their dance, their Halloween Day at school is just a normal one.
Evan was a good sport and helped Ryan out with his makeup!

Introducing Ryan!
The scary (but goofy as always) clown!

The 3rd graders got to dress up and enjoy an end of the day Halloween Party!

They Raced Spiders...

Decorated and ate Pumpkin Pancakes...

Spit Pumpkin Seeds for Distance...
Among other fun games!

Ryan was able to wear his mask and lug around his chainsaw on Halloween Night!

Evan decided to dress up as "The Joker"!

Then, he BECAME him!

Evan went Trick o' Treating with Quinn,
while Ryan went with myself and friends!
He looked like a jailbird without the mask!  Ha ha!

September in the Sanchez Household!

Fall Baseball began with a Labor Day Tournament in Flagstaff!
We are a 9U team and had to play 11U because there wasn't a younger division!
The first game we tied 2-2!
The boys always do this little chant before each game...so cute!
"I believe that we will win!"

Game #2, Ryan snagged this little pop up at 2nd!

Ryan pitched really well!
Strike 3!!! Woohoo!

He had a good eye at the plate also!
We'll take that walk!
We won!  17-2!

Game #3, Ryan helped with an almost 6-4-3 Double Play!

Great Grab Ryguy!
Unfortunately we lost this one,
but we were so proud of the boys!
Especially since they are 8 & 9 and they played against 11 year olds!

Game #4, Ryan made another nice little pop up grab!

The last game of the tournament was the championship game for the B bracket!
Ryan made another nice little play!
We lost this one 11-12, but we finished 5th among 9 teams!

The weekend was definitely a win for the Stars!
Amazing what these boys accomplished for such young guys!

September in our household also means Fantasy Football Drafts!
Ryan wanted to help Daddy!

Evan had a project to create at school.  He was to make himself into a "Me-anthderthal"!
Mission Accomplished Dude!  Great work!  I guess he had to draw each hair individually!

Wacky Day at school was given an "A+" effort from the Sanchez Family!

Our shy children!  Lol!

One of Ryan's friends from baseball asked if he could go to DBacks game with them!
The Giants were in town, so Freddy got them Field Passes!
This was Ryan's first MLB Game to attend since Daddy retired!

Matt came over to say hi...

As well as Bruce and a bunch of other guys!

Then the boys got to experience all the fun of being at the ballpark!

A big part of that is FOOD for Ryan!

He is an eater for SURE!!!!

He had an awesome time!
Thank you Justin and Miss Erin for having him!

My boys deck themselves out in USC gear before each game!
They are die hard fans even though USC is having a rough start to the season.

The first game of the regular season was on the 13th.
At the beginning of each day, they play the National Anthem,
so the boys line up on their respected foul lines.

Ryan got a nice hit...

And a timely walk as you can tell by my cheering!
It wasn't quite enough to pull this one out, but the next time we face the Dominators,
it will be a different outcome for sure!  ;)

For the 2nd Game of regular season,
Ryan had a nice hit!
We run ruled the Monarchs!

On Friday the 16th, Victor and Sujey surprised Freddy with a visit!
He texted Freddy and asked him if he got his package.
Freddy opened the door for a big surprise!

We had a great weekend with them!

Sujey even taught Ryan to use the filters on Snapchat!

Evan had been working up to this ramp at the skate park!
Good job Big Boy!  You did it!

The 3rd Game of the season, the boys played the Monarchs again.

Ryan pitched!

Strike 3!!!

Strikeout #2!

Another Strikeout!
Great pitching Ryan!!!

Daddy congratulated him when he came out of the game!
Another W on the board for the Stars!

The next game, Ryan made the play in the above link...

He also walked, tripled & doubled!
This link is to his triple!
Another sweet win for the Stars!

Evan's elective for the 1st Quarter at School was Theatre...

He got cast as Batman in the Theatre Showcase before Fall Break!
He did awesome!

To round out the month,
I figured I would show off my handsome 3rd Grader...

And my handsome 6th Grader!
We are looking forward to the Fall!
We hope you are all well!

Back to School!

We started out the month with Back to School Night.

Ryan is in Mr Malone's 3rd Grade Class this Year!

Evan is in 6th Grade now!
His Homeroom Teacher is Mrs. Yocum.
She is also his Science Teacher.

On the 1st Day, the new Head of School
was outside greeting the kiddos!

My Big Boy...

They are both growing up too quickly!

Evan was out back one day and found a friend!  A praying mantis!

August 7th was our 14th Wedding Anniversary!
this was a collage I made of our...
Wedding Day, Honeymoon, 5 Year Anniversary, 10 Year Vow Renewal,
and then I included a current pic.

The first Family Fun Night of the school year was at Skateland!

Everyone got in on the fun!

Ryan dabbed while Evan helped the little ones!

On Picture Day, Evan wore his favorite color...

As did Ryan!

The first weekend of the school year, we had some Play Doh time!

It was nice to see the boys' individual creativity!

With baseball season right around the corner,
Freddy decided to teach Ryguy his baseball juggling trick!
He got it down pretty quickly!  They were both so excited!

The first game the Stars played this fall was a scrimmage, just for fun and practice.
Ryan made a nice solid play at second...

And did some catching as well!
It was a fun day!

Here are the 2 teams after the game...

And here are the Stars in front of their banner.  They each signed it and gifted it to
Thomas, who left our team because he was the oldest kiddo and is unable to play tournaments with us.  He is now on the team we scrimmaged that day.
We will miss him and his family!

Evan wants to join the golf team at school,
so his buddy Quinn took him our for a round of practice one afternoon!

This is an example of Evan's artsy side!
I thought it was very neat!  It was an assignment he did at school.

Looking forward to some fall weather now that we are rolling into September!
Take care everyone!
