January in the Sanchez Household!

I didn’t included NYE in my December Blog, so I will start there!

Ryan went over to Grandma and Grandpa’s House to celebrate!
He made himself look like a party!  Ha ha!

Evan went over to his buddy’s house, as he has been doing for the last few years!
He is as always a snazzy dresser!  Lol!

Our NYE Party has been a fun tradition for Freddy and I to throw...

It’s also great because we get to get all dressed up and dance the night away!

Our guests started arriving shortly after this picture!
We were told it was the best party yet!  =)

Flag Football’s Spring Season began!
They named themselves the SC Trojans for South Chandler and USC Football.

Here is a clip from the first game of the season.  Ryan caught a pass!

Touchdown Ryguy!!!
We won this one 35-7!

The next Friday, another good game!
TD Pass!  Woohoo Ryan!

Flag Pull!

Interception!!!
We won this one 26-12!

One Saturday we woke up and decided that it would be a good day
to drive up to Flagstaff!
So...we quickly packed up and headed out!

The next morning we woke up and hit the slopes!

It was a fun, beautiful day!

I love my boys!!!

The boys had a day off of school,
so I took them to the place Evan did a commercial for,
because he didn’t have a chance to play there on the shoot day!

It was a quiet day there, so it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves!

We had an MLK Tourney in California,
so we got to see some of our favorite people!

It was so nice of them to come to the field to watch Ryan play!
(Tiffani has been best friends with Danielle and I since childhood...
so we are Auntie’s to each others kiddos!)

That night Ryan woke up with a fever,
so he missed his game. He sent this picture to his teammates
while we were on our way to the Dr. to get him checked out.

Turned out it was the flu, so he was prescribed Tamiflu.
He didn’t want to go back to the hotel, so the Dr. said if he wore a mask
he could go to the field to cheer on his team!

The next Friday...Ryan was healthy!
Another flag...

A run...

And a 2 Point Conversion!
We won this one 36-8!

On Ryan’s 10th Birthday, he played hooky from school!
We took him to his favorite breakfast joint...

Took him to Hobby Lobby to buy supplies to make slime,
then went home to make the slime!

When we went to school to pick up Evan,
we snagged a picture of Ryan in front of his Birthday Marquee!

Then we met Grandma and Auntie Sarah for dinner at Chili’s!

After dinner, we took Krispy Kreme Donuts to Football...

A Birthday Touchdown!!!

Whatcha think Ryguy!?

And after we won, the team sang to him!
He said had a great day!!!

On the 28th, we celebrated Ryan’s Birthday!

The number 10 had pictures from each of Ryan’s other birthday’s...including his “Birth” Day!

We had a huge space rented out at a local park...

The balloons spelled out “HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN”!

He wanted an obstacle course, a Jacob’s Ladder, and a Hamster Ball Racetrack.
So, that’s what we got!

Ryan is such a sweet boy!  He had a blast with his friends!

Although Evan is almost a teenager, he wasn’t afraid to be a kid...

Or, be a daredevil!!!!!!

My dear hubby spent 3 hours helping me decorate...
and didn’t complain a bit while I barked orders at him as the time ticked down!  Lol!

We had a food truck come grill hamburgers and hot dogs...

And the Kona Ice truck deliver shaved ice!

It cooled the kids off after all the activities!

Evan couldn’t see the opening of gifts, so he climbed a tree for a better view!

We can’t believe our baby is 10!  I guess he couldn’t either!
No more single digit babies in our family!
We are so happy the party was a hit...despite the crazy wind that day!

Evan worked his tail off on this project!
He had to present for 8 minutes about his Human Anatomy Amusement Park.
The written report was also incredible!  He got an “A” for all of his hard work!

Ryan put on his football gear, catchers mask and hockey jersey on to play a little at home floor hockey one weekend!  He even put painters tape on the doors to mark the goal!
Never a dull moment with these guys!
Phew!  I got this January blog done before February ended!
We hope you enjoyed it!

Our Fun and Busy December!

It was the night before December...

And all through the house...

All the creatures were stirring...
Busily getting ready for Christmas!

The Toys for Tots Tourney was a success!
We all donated...

And then won the whole thing!
First ring of the baseball season for our Stars!

The second tourney was cold...

But we warmed up and won this one also!
Tourney #2 and Ring #2 for this season!

One of the festivities at school in December is the Reindeer Run!
The boys “Donnered” their antlers that day!  Ha ha!

Ryan’s Culminating Event for 4th Grade was Arizona Themed.

The kids showed off their artwork...

Posed at the photo booth...

Showed off their models and research boards...

And performed on stage!
They did an awesome job!

Speaking of awesome...
I gave Evan the job of doing a photo shoot for our Christmas Card.

So he Photo Shopped pictures of he and Ryan!

He made this one to look like a scene from “the Grinch"!

And this one is Evan’s rendition of "Home Alone"!

This is the one I chose as the winner.
It was so creative of him because he had to Photo Shop the background
just as he did with the others, but he also took pictures of the snowman mug and towel,
then put those into the photo and added the “hot chocolate” spilling!

Ho Ho Ho!

Merry Christmas!

Time to hunt for the boys tree!

They found a winner!

Ryan had the task of hammering the stand on this year!
Well done sir!

We watched “The Grinch" while we decorated the tree!
Voila!

On the 21st, Daddy turned 40!!!

I put together a surprise evening for him!
I told him to get dressed for a nice dinner with me at Mastro’s.
When our “Uber” showed up,
it was actually a party bus with some very special friends and family!

Here is an indoor shot of the surprise!
There are a few seconds at the beginning of darkness before the bus door opens.

After the surprise and before the drive to dinner, we took a group shot!

We got a private room,
so even the menus were personalized!

I made banners and dropped them off earlier in the week.

He was shocked and thoroughly enjoyed the night!

40 looks good on my Phillip!

On Christmas Eve it’s a tradition for us to take the Ranger out and look at Christmas lights!

Then we open gifts from each other...

Sprinkle reindeer food on the lawn...

And lay out cookies and milk for Santa!

On Christmas Day, we were happy to see we got some cool new Nerf guns and gear!
Thanks Santa!!!

The Winter Nationals Super NIT Tourney was held during Winter Break.
It was in Glendale, so we turned it into a Staycation!
The hotel even had a “Stars” tree for us!

As a 10U Majors Team, we played up in the 11U AAA Division.
The boys went 6-0-0 and took the Championship!

Look at the size of those rings...and the crazy dirty pants!
That means Ryguy played hard...and that also means a lot of laundry for me!

This bracket looks SOOOO good!
Next tourney is over MLK Weekend in California!
Go Stars!

There was a Saddle Ranch near our hotel so we went to dinner.
The dessert was AMAZING!

The mall area was really neat too!

They even had “snow”...

And ice skating which was fun to do!

We had a great December full of lots of celebrations!

In my January blog I will put pictures from our New Year’s Eve Party.

Make 2018 a great year!  Take care!
