Spring is Here...in our Whole New World!

Our month started with the Stars boys working hard to fundraise for Cooperstown!
We split the team between two Spring Training stadiums.  It was a fun day!

Siblings and Mommas joined in on the action too!

St Patty's Day decor went up...

We celebrated Dr Seuss' Birthday at school with an appropriate, "moving on" to Junior High book...

And Ryan qualified to participate in his school Track and Field Meet!

Throwing the javelin was all new to him.
His first attempt was 65'10" and his second was 65'3".
He didn't place, but we were proud of him for trying his best!

Then Ryan ended another successful quarter
(and school year) at school with a fun field day!

The weekend of the 6th, the Stars played in a 3 day tourney.
Teams from all over came to Arizona to participate.

Above is a quick clip of Ryan's Highlight Reel from the weekend.

He even hit me a Birthday Homerun!!!

The 2 Arizona Teams squared off in the Championship game.
We took 2nd place, losing by just 1 run.
It is always a bummer to lose,
but we were so proud of the boys for their effort!

To celebrate my 41st Birthday, I went to the spa for a massage and facial on the 5th.
It was soooo nice!

Then on the 8th, we celebrated with cake, gifts...

And a get together with the whole Stars team at a cool place called Social Hall!

The link above is AWESOME!
It's of Evan singing karaoke with some of the Stars as his backup dancers!
It was such a fun night!  I had a terrific birthday weekend!
Thank you to everyone who wished me well!

Then, all of sudden the world as we know it changed!
On the 13th, even Evan was tired of bring quarantined and headed outside for some fresh air!

Ryan is the type of kiddo who HAS to stay active when he is stuck at home.
He and Dad played a fun game of Safe/Out and recorded attempts in Slo-Mo one evening!

Ok everyone...in our world full of chaos and uncertainty I feel like now is finally time to share our trying last year and make you all fully aware of our happy current events!

We are so excited to announce that the Sanchez Family is growing!!!
Below you will see a few photos of our gorgeous baby GIRL that we are expecting at the beginning of August!

She is our rainbow baby...meaning, she is our rainbow after a storm.
I will explain once you enjoy her most recent ultrasound photos!

So, like I said, I will explain the storm.
It's a long story, but we started trying to grow our family in August of 2018...
Then last year on March 20th, we found out we were pregnant!

At week 13 our genetic testing came back with devastating news.
We would have to say goodbye to our little girl because she had a very rare genetic abnormality, Trisomy 13.

We induced, labored and delivered her instead of agreeing to a D&C.
May 17th we got to meet our baby girl, Grace RaVae.
I will share a video link below that I made in her honor.  It helped me with closure.

A little backstory on the slideshow song choices...
The Best News Ever was the first song that came on the radio when I got in the car after taking my first pregnancy test...on my way to CVS to get another one to double check.

The next song was an easy choice as well.
After the horrible news, Freddy and I got in the car,
headed to the OB's office to pick up the envelope that would tell us the baby's sex
and Amazing Grace was the first song that came on the radio.
Hence her name!

Please enjoy Gracie's video below...

Losing Grace was the hardest thing our family has had to endure.
We feel so blessed and thankful to God that here we are expecting a healthy baby girl!
We can't WAIT to have her here with us!

Stay safe!  Stay home!
Take care all!  Freddy, Alissa, Evan, Ryan, and Baby Girl

Our Month of Love!

Our February began with a quick one day Super Ball Bash Tourney.
We played up at 13U and finished in 2nd place.
Below is a short highlight reel of Ryan's from that day...

Being that it was February, I of course put up a few decorations...

One of my favorite pics of the boys was years ago, but I display it every year!

Then on the 14th, Freddy and I went to Mastro's for dinner!

The lemon drop and chocolate martini's are a must of course!

When we got home, we had the boys open their cards, and hit the hay early...

Because we had an early tournament the next day.
Below is a quick highlight reel...

We played up in 13U and finished 2nd once again.
The rings were a neat black color this time!

One school night, the team got together to make signs for fundraising!
We are going to Cooperstown in June...

So we are planning an having the boys hang outside of some spring training games
and pass out water bottles for donation to help with some of the costs!
We think they did a great job!

Above is a link to Ryan's February Highlights in Flag Football.
The boys had a great season finishing 5 - 2!
Then they went 1-1 in the end of season tourney.

It was so cute to see the boys swinging on the swings
and playing like they used to one sunny afternoon,
so of course I tried to capture the moment!

To close out the month,
we allowed Evan to take the Ranger out to practice driving in the neighborhood.
He will be able to get his permit in October!  CRAZINESS!

A Great Month to Start out an Amazing Year!

The first few days in January, Freddy and Vic went golfing.
We all enjoyed his visit!

Our first tournament of the month, we sported our new throwback jerseys!
Below is a short highlight reel of Ryan's AB's from that USSSA MLK Tournament.

We played up in the 13U Majors Division and took home the Championship!

One evening, we attended an informational night at the boys new Junior High/High School!

The Sadie Hawkins Dance was on the 25th.
Earlier that week, Evan came home with this...

Josie was so creative with the poster!
She was Evan's first official date.  They had a good time!

The 26th was Ryan's 12th Birthday!

We celebrated by going to Castles and Coasters that weekend!

The morning of his birthday, he awoke to some fun door decor!
He had to break out...

In order to enjoy his favorite breakfast!
He had a fantastic birthday weekend!

Above is a link to Ryan's Flag Football Highlights for the month of January!

To close out the month, we had some exciting stuff happen!
Auntie Tiffani, Scott, William and Summer came to visit from California!

We did many fun things when they were in town!
Like an afternoon at the park...

And a nice dinner out while Evan was at school getting prepared for...

His school musical!  Mary Poppins!
He played the role of Michael Banks!  It was INCREDIBLE!

Above is the link to the musical!  Enjoy watching Evan in his element!

On closing night the kids were able to come out for pictures in costume!
Here is Evan with our family!
We were all so proud of him!

And here is Michael with his stage family...

Jane and Michael with their Nanny...

And Mary and Burt...who were quite impressive!
We can't wait to see what the next 3 years at Seton holds
as far as Evan's theatre experiences go!

Tiff and family were also able to catch some of Ryan's games before they headed home.

It was such an awesome visit!
We all really enjoyed the time with them!

December of 2019 has already Come...and Gone!

Hello December!

Our house was ready early on...

And so was our Christmas Card!

Evan's school even got a visit from Mr and Mrs Claus!

He and a few of his friends had fun posing for some pics.

We even had some December type weather in AZ this year.
Evan made a hail ball at school one day!

Each year, Seton has a Mother's Mass.
It was a nice afternoon for us to spend together
and remember what Christmas is all about!

During Ryan's 1st Tourney of the Season,
he had a Double...

And a Single...and the Stars won the Championship!

On the 10th, Ryan got all dressed up for his band concert...

Where he performed for us on his trumpet!

He and his fellow 6th grade band students played several songs,
but my favorite was this one from Star Wars!

My handsome boys...LOVE!

During Ryan's 2nd Tourney of the season, he got a Triple!!
The Stars won that Championship as well!

Once school broke for Winter, we headed up to Flagstaff for a fun getaway...

And we brought Evan's friend Niall along for the ride!

We went to Snowbowl to ski...

And the boys went sledding in the woods behind the home we rented!

They really had a blast!

On the 21st, we celebrated Freddy's 42nd Birthday at a tubing park!

Then we got ready for dinner and went to Grimaldi's!

We picked Dad up an OREO ice cream cake to enjoy...

Sang to him...

And he opened gifts from both Evan...

And Ryguy!
He said he had a great birthday!

As we do each year,
we headed to the tree lot one weekend
to pick out the "perfect" tree for the boys!

They carried the tree in...

And then decorated it themselves!

On Christmas Eve, we hosted Freddy's family!

His nephew Jason even brought his daughter Abby!

We took the Ranger out to look at Christmas lights...

And listened to Christmas songs along the way!
We also ate tamales and opened gifts.  It was a great evening!

Freddy's Dad came wearing his Golf father shirt...
So Ryan put on his Blockfather shirt to match!
They represented each of their sports well!

On Christmas Day, we sported our "Comfy's"...

And spent the day hanging out, eating and playing games at the Aguilar's house!
It was a lot of fun!  Thank you guys!

On New Year's Eve, we had a small get-together...

And wore ugly sweaters for a fun themed night!

Freddy's Best Friend, Vic came to town...

And Thomas came by for a bit before he went out with his friends!

The guys played a little Hold 'Em...

And Foosball!

Then we all played some Minute to Win It Games...

And had a terrific time doing it!

Just before midnight...

We popped the corks...

Put on our hats...

And counted down!

We had such a wonderful night celebrating with the Waggoner and Caz Fam's!
Happy New Year Everyone!
We wish you all health and happiness in 2020!
Best year ever!  Let's do this!
